Gateway Notebook Repair - Part 1
Head over to the Sense section for the Digital Scoop on disassembly of the Gateway 3000/M210 series notebook. I obtained this one from a family member who thought it was thirsty and needed some rum and cola. Basically, after tearing the whole thing apart, I discovered a shorted power switch and carbonized DC power jack board. Hopefully the motherboard is still salvageable. Parts are on order from the great eBay. I have assembled and repaired dozens of desktops. This will be a first.
