2. Power Switch Plate and Keyboard
1) Remove the battery. If you can’t figure this out on your own, please DO NOT proceed.
2) Remove (3) exposed screws holding the power switch plate.
3) Flip laptop,
open screen and GENTLY release tabs behind F1, F11 and <insert>
keys using tiny (1.4mm) flathead screwdriver. Lift and remove
plate from the keyboard side.
4) Lift keyboard from the upper exposed edge and slide toward the LCD. Fold back keyboard and plate to expose ribbons.
5) Remove
ribbons by first sliding out brown holder using tiny flathead.
Brown holders will remain in place, unless you break a tab on one
end (oops). You might have to peel back some tape to remove the
power switch ribbon. PLEASE remember which way the ribbons were
oriented for when you put them back.
